The Truth Of "Playing Small"

Every message is communicated with great earnestness and compassionate wisdom for all of us. When they really want to emphasize something, it is repeated or in bold or all caps. They are often very straightforward and have a sense of urgency in sharing and connecting with us. It is always communicated with deep compassion and want of helping us to remember and connect with all of our soul truths - and filled with a lot of heart, humor, and possibility.

Welcome to the world of animal wisdom and guidance! The animals wanted to share their amazing wisdom, perspective, and insights about what it truly means to “play small”. This is a transformative paradigm shift for us - and for them - in recognizing, valuing, and carrying out our soul’s purpose and mission that serves us and serves all. The animals each have their own special way to express this and so do we. This is yet another example of their great generosity of heart and spirit, depth of wisdom, and sincere desire to assist us and be assisted by us in all of our souls’ path together. We just need to ask them! :)

This is transcribed verbatim from them and is an example of the format, generosity, and wealth of information, insight, heart, and humor that they share in our sessions together. They want this to be a conversation, so they will often say "ok?", "right?", "you see?", "yes?", etc. to give us time and space to be sure we are understanding them. So, let’s explore their definition of “smallness” and how to expand into our soul’s comfort zone. Enjoy!

“Playing small means of and from and for the ego - its’ small thoughts, small beliefs, small ideas about yourselves, us, and others - limited in all ways. That’s the “smallness”, because it is not expansive or creative and believes it is separate. This is just the opposite of how some of you were taught, you see? The ego is the smallness. E.G.O. - Edging Good/God Out. Edging out possibility, the “unseen” to the ego but the known, the real, the true to the soul. The unseen to the ego, but the known to the soul - that is anima knowing :)”

“That’s why it’s called "playing small". It is from the ego values, bravado, persona, fears. The inflation or deflation of the ego. It must be up or down to be satisfied, not present. The way it tries to show itself off and the way it tries to hold you back. It is fear both ways - to be better and to be not good enough. That is the “egotistical”. That’s why it’s such a negative word to you - and should be. It is something you should not want to be or want to see in others, for both reasons. The limitations it places and identifies and thrives on. It is all small and cramped and limited compared to the soul, which is vast.”

“The ego has a smallness mindset and may see things of the soul as small and too simple. But that is where the knowingness is, the vastness, the expansiveness, the creator/creative exists. That’s where the soul is present and everything creates from that. Remember that quote by the French philosopher Blaise Pascal:

"All of humanity's problems stem from man's inability to sit quietly in a room alone.” It’s like we keep telling you, that it is a “practice of presence, not an absence of action”.

So, it’s not playing small as the ego would define it, which will always be small and limited because it is operating from fear, always. The ego thinks playing small is engaging in the fruits of the spirit - that what do you have to show for yourself? It defines and it defined by money, appearance, status, etc. Where the soul defines from the unlimited, so it sees and knows/we see and know from this unlimited expansive view of possibility of all it, you see? Even your financial, work, relationship success, etc. that the ego thinks it controls. It cannot even give you the fullness of those things in your life which it thinks it dominates and defines and determines. The soul gives a greater depth and possibility to all of it! All abundance, all types, all needs working from its’ knowingness. That’s HOW all things are possible! And that is the HOW paradigm shift for you all, you see? So, the ego doesn’t even get to define that accurately. That’s why we are giving you this new dictionary, where everything is defined by creative/creator law - not by “small” ego law.”

“That’s why there are no levels, it’s just expansion, moving forward, expanding out. And the ego doesn’t want to do that, to expand outside of its comfort zone. Whether it’s comfortable or not to you - and really it never is if you look at it fully. Something is always missing and it’s always trying to fill it with something that’s lacking, right? Remember it’s “all for all” in creative/creator law. The ego wants to keep you in the past or future instead of in the present - where the soul knowingness can be seen and heard. The freedom of being heard again (like we talked about last week) in this bigger way. So, it operates by guilt, regret, fear of past and future mis-takes. But, also guides you to and punishes you for those mis-takes.”

“When you are present, in the presence, practicing presence, a practice of presence, not an absence of action - that’s where and when and how you can truly expand. Not trying to climb up to reach something that is greater than you or looking back at how you weren’t great. It gets you off of that up and down ladder and allows you to move forward in the presence - which sees and knows all. That’s the true comfort zone, right?! :) The anima/soul knowing. How often do you all feel like you “don’t know what to do”? Think of the grief and strife and energy that you expend on that and how distracting and disheartening it can be. That’s why it’s so important, the most important - for you, for us, for all! LOVE YOUR SOUL! And you’ll help others do the same.” 

“It’s the presence that opens up the expansion. The practice of presence, not the absence of action as the ego thinks of it. The what are you going to do next, you better figure this out, make this happen, etc. operating from fear and lack and dismissing this presence/the present - because it is UNKNOWN to it. Look at how much it doesn’t know, why would you ever trust it right? It is maniacal because you will never get it right playing small/playing by the ego, it won’t let you. What’s that definition of insanity? Doing the same thing and expecting a different result. It is the great simplicity and complexity of the presence that allows the expansion, the unlimited, the creative. And the HOW of doing this is already there too. Just look at your “whys” and the ego will start to dissolve. With each piece of untruth you unravel it, until it’s no longer covering and blocking everything real and true.”

"Imagine a windshield completely covered in post-its with the egos thoughts and beliefs and fears. As you start to peel them away you can see what is underneath it, why you put that note there and the untruth of it, and you get a clear view of what is really there and where you are going - expanding forward seeing and knowing. The post-its are the ego “veil” that seeks to divide and separate. And as you remove them it gets clearer and clearer that there is no divide, no separation - in dimensions, in you, with you and the creator, with us and others. That is the true all-encompassing Oneness - that’s what that means. Seeing it in all ways.”

"Just remember, that which seeks to divide, to exclude cannot stand, right? That which excludes us, you, others, the creator/creative. Because that’s all we truly are and the creative does not divide, it is One. So look at yourself, at us, at others, at the world in this way. Anything that seeks to separate is not real and you don’t have to believe it any longer, or all of its fears and limitations. If something is separating/dividing/excluding, it is where the creator/creative/ the oneness is not and therefore it cannot stand. It cannot stand in your mind, it cannot stand in the world. Because it is “small” - it is disconnected from the great whole/the oneness. That’s what “love always wins” means. The world is a massive reflection of your minds and we see it, we see you differently, and want to help you do the same. We invite you to be Seers with us. Seeing/Being beyond the small - to the Soul, the Unlimited, the Oneness with and for all.”
